Singapore Partner Conference 2009
This year`s LG-Nortel Global Partner Conference was held in Singapore which saw the biggest turn out yet. The annual event was held this year on Sentosa Island in Singapore and the conference was opened by the CEO of LG-Nortel. The slogan of the week was “Explore the opportunities together! Shape the future together!”. Highlights: During his opening address Mr. Jae Ryung Lee CEO of LG-Nortel thanked all distributors and resellers for their efforts during 2009, and also was delighted to announce that GPC 09 was the largest gathering so far since the introduction of the Global Partner Conference back in 2003. He was also pleased to inform us, that in 2009 LG-Nortel had not decreased investment in R&D, this became evident with the number of new products which will be coming on stream over the next year. During the conference a work shop was given for all participants on the Product Road Map for LG-Nortel and presentations were given by some resellers as well as third party vendor CyTrack Technologies, who GoldStar are the Irish Distributors for. ***************************************************************************************************** Awards: Congratulations to Irish resellers Stephen Monahan of PhoneLink and John McGrath of Alcom Telecom for receiving the best Dealer Awards from Mr MS Bang. The week proved very informative and beneficial and allied to the positive reaction LG-Nortel have shown in the recent economic down-turn, all holds well for 2010. ***************************************************************************************************** Line up for 2010: On the 3rd day a sales presentation was held. During this we were given a preview of the unique selling features of the iPECS-MG and also the iPECS-ES Series Data Switches. To cap a great week, the Irish contingent along with our New Zealand friends won the Team Building Activity, which is always hotly contested each year. So, a very enjoyable and informative week was had by all, and we look forward to taking part again in 2010.
